About Forth Region Scouts
“Scouting is all about the development of young people. The sort of adventure Scouting offers is the chance to experience something different and the opportunity to challenge yourself."
Forth Region came into existence on 1st April 2008 as a result of the restructuring of Scouting in Scotland. It comprises four districts:
- Clackmannanshire
- Falkirk
- Stirling & Trossachs
- West Lothian
The region will provide greater support to Districts and their teams in the delivery of local Scouting for the benefit of the young people involved. This support will focus on development, communication and adult training, with specific appointments for each of these.
The Districts will continue to manage the Scouting programme for the three younger sections – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts. The region will manage the running of the two older sections throughout the region – Explorer Scout and Network.

- Keith Scott, Assistant Regional Commissioner (Communications)
- Gerry McPeake, Assistant Regional Commissioner (Explorer and Network)
